Do you have experience in fundraising, event management, budgeting, contract negotiation, working with artists?

Want to put your skills to good use?
Here’s your opportunity…
PERMACULTURE AUSTRALIA (PA), the country’s only national organisation representing permaculture practitioners, would like to hear from people who can help us source financial and in-kind support. This will sustain the organisation and open up new avenues of activity tol develop permaculture design and practice in Australia.
We plan to run one or two events a year and apply for grant funding where donor’s requirements align with PA objectives.  The events will:

  • raise funds to support PA’s work in providing providing a needed service to the permaculture community
  • build the public profile of Permaculture Australia and among permaculture practitioners
  • take permaculture into the wider Australian community.

Becoming a supporter

Supporters are valued by members of Permaculture Australia. Becoming a supporter is a way to enact your ethic of fair share for a fair future, and is the means by which businesses and organisations can contribute to the common good.
There are myriad means of becoming a supporter. They include:

  • donating skills, time, services or goods to PA
  • offering discount to PA members
  • sponsoring events
  • providing free marketing and publicity.

Our key supporters will be listed on the PA Supporters page of this website.

The nitty-gritty

You become a member of our Fundraising and Supporters Working Team which meets via email and teleconference, usually on a monthly basis.  Meetings may be more frequent when events are imminent. Membership is open-ended but to ensure continuity and stability, members are encouraged to maintain membership for at least two years.
The team reports monthly to the PA Board of Directors. Sometimes, our work overlaps that of other teams (such as when developing a new supporter relationship which could also involve Membership or Permafund teams), so we maintain close communication with those teams.
To apply for membership of this important team, email fundsupp@permacultureaustralalia.org.au or complete the EOI form below.
The Board liaison person will contact you to discuss your interest, experience and availability and tell you about the current projects of the team.  Our 100% volunteer Team is aware of the need to work within our personal capacities.  We would rather do a few things very well than leave dozens half finished.
If this sounds like you, why not get in touch?
