Permaculture Design Course – Sam Parker-Davies @ Zaytuna Farm – Jan 2027
Description
Permaculture Design Certificate with Sam Parker-Davies | Zaytuna Farm, 4 to 15 January 2027
Join regenerative designer and educator Sam Parker-Davies for a 72-hour Permaculture Design Certificate at Zaytuna Farm Eco-Hamlet, home of the Permaculture Research Institute, near The Channon in the Northern Rivers of NSW.
Zaytuna is one of the world’s leading permaculture demonstration sites. With 25 years of established earthworks, water harvesting systems, food forests and animal systems, it’s a place where you can see permaculture working at scale, not just read about it.
The course runs over 10 teaching days across two weeks and follows Bill Mollison’s curriculum from Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual. Topics include design methods, pattern understanding, climate, trees, water, soils, earthworks, tropical, cold and dryland strategies, aquaculture and social systems. Lectures are mixed with farm tours, guest speakers and design examples, and you’ll finish by producing and presenting your own permaculture design.
Each morning from 6am to 8am, you can join optional hands-on sessions in the gardens, food forests and animal systems before class begins.
Sam has more than 10 years’ experience and over 100 projects across six continents. He lives at Zaytuna Farm and teaches there regularly.
