Internship Opportunity: Anam Cara Forest Farm, Bega Valley NSW
Description
3-month live-in internship · Accommodation & board provided
I’m putting out a call for one or two people who’d like to come and live at Anam Cara Forest Farm in the Bega Valley for around three months.
Anam Cara means “Soul Friend” — and after more than ten years of developing this place, I’m looking for people who want to learn, contribute, and perhaps experiment with ideas of their own.
What’s here:
This is a working forest farm on Djiringanj country. Over the past decade I’ve been practicing permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and farm forestry — learning what works in this landscape and what doesn’t. There are sheep, goats, and chickens. Infrastructure for hosting. A forested property that provides for our needs.
What I’m offering:
- Accommodation and meals
- The chance to learn from over a decade of hands-on experience
- Space to experiment and put your own ideas into practice
- A dynamic, reciprocal arrangement — not just a list of tasks
What I’m hoping for:
People who are genuinely curious. Who want to engage with the land, contribute meaningfully, and bring something of themselves to the work. This is an unpaid internship, but it’s also a chance to feel grounded in a beautiful place and learn by doing.
Interested?
Get in touch and let’s have a conversation. We can make a plan together that works for both of us.
