Invitation to attend and call for opinions
WHEN: Friday 2 to Sunday 4 January 2015
WHERE: Hazelbrook NSW
How can Permafund best continue it’s community development work?
Permafund is Permaculture Australia’s charitable fund. The Permafund Committee is holding an open meeting to review the fund’s progress and consider activities and direction for the coming year(s). Perhaps this is something you would like to contribute to? It will be a time for hearing submissions, welcoming new ideas and involving new people.
Our last gathering was in Katoomba in 2012 where the small grants program was initiated and since then Permafund has distributed $11,000 in grants to 14 community projects in Australia and around the world.
The Hazelbrook gathering will be considering the impact and effectiveness of the small grants program. We will hear from grant recipients, from PA members and from people active in permaculture and community development. The event is open and people are welcome to make a presentation or submit an idea.
If you’re interested to attend please let us know asap.
We’re holding two sites as potential venues and deciding which depends on attendance numbers.
Payment will be on arrival but anyone thinking they may attend please lets us know asap. Cost for meals and accommodation (depending on the venue decision) is expected in the range:
- $50-150 (PA Members) or $70-170 (non members)
