NOTES ABOUT MEMBERSHIP CHANGES

PA recently made a number of changes to its membership options.

  1. The old Ordinary and Associate membership options have merged to become Ordinary Membership:

Ordinary members don’t need a permaculture qualification to join up – anyone with an interest in permaculture is most welcome! Ordinary members can still vote at PA AGMs. Ordinary members are eligible for an increasing range of member discounts from ethical businesses and permaculture providers.

  1. Professional Membership is for individuals who operate a permaculture related enterprise - examples include sole traders or partnerships:

Professional members need a PDC or APT qualification at level three or higher. Professional members can advertise their business and post courses and events on the PA website and Facebook Group at no cost. The PA website has a reach of over 11,000 visitors/month and the Group has over 10,000 members. One nominated person can vote at PA AGMs. Professional members are also eligible for an increasing range of member discounts from ethical businesses and permaculture providers.

  1. Organisation Membership is for incorporated entities such as companies, associations, and cooperatives who have a primary objective relating to Permaculture activities and support services:

Organisation members can list their organisation and post courses and events on the PA website and Facebook Group at no cost. The PA website has a reach of over 13,000 visitors/month and the Group has over 11,100 members (and counting). One nominated person can vote at PA AGMs on behalf of the organisation. Organisation members are eligible for an increasing range of member discounts from ethical businesses and permaculture providers.

Pip magazine

Pip magazine is the place for news on permaculture in Australia, showcasing people and projects around Australia and internationally. There are three editions of this beautiful magazine each year.

Soon PA will no longer provide Pip magazine as a membership option . Instead, PA is pleased to offer a discounted subscription to all members as part of our member discount program. This offer will need to be claimed directly from Pip.

If you have questions about membership, please email; [email protected] Someone will endeavour to answer your enquiry as soon as they can.
