Natural Building Tour - Castlemaine and Surrounds

Castlemaine has a long proud history of owner-built earth houses and this tour will allow you to see, feel and touch some of them! If you’ve ever wanted to visit some well-designed, passive solar, natural material houses that work in all seasons, come jump on the tour bus with us and you can visit 3 local natural builds, meet those who made them and ask all your owner building and passive design questions.

The tour is guided by an experienced environmental builder who can help answer your questions, and at each location there will be time to chat to the owners about their processes, design constraints, budgets and logistics.

Meet at the Wesley HIll market for 9am, hop on the bus and you will be brought back into town for lunch (1hr) before heading off to the afternoon site visit. Bring water or snacks, a hat and your enthusiasm for natural building styles and design! If you have any questions get in touch!
