This 'obby 'ole weekender is an example of an alternative building method using a technique called superadobe. These are continuous polyprop bags filled and rammed solid. The room has a high 'ceiling' and is dome shaped. The bed inside is long enough across the centre for someone around 6 foot with a second person needing to be a bit shorter!

We are offering this room to rent for short stays to fellow permies. Our homestead is worth coming to visit! It is just over 5 years in development now and has many permaculture elements in its design. We will give you a full tour soon after arrival. The Stanthorpe area is known for its National Parks - there are 5 within 30mins drive! It is also quite touristy in general, with lots to do, although a large part of this is the boutique wineries. We are flexible with your accommodation needs and can provide home cooked meals (various cuisines) using food grown on site and local organic ingredients. You can also self cater by using the pizza house kitchen. Prices from $100 per night or $160 for 2 nights, with food options by email request.

We are 5mins drive from Stanthorpe town in SouthEast Queensland, 2.5 hours southwest of Brisbane.
