MORE INFO...

A Certificate III in Permaculture covers both the practical skills and knowledge requirements to design, establish and maintain a permaculture system. It is ideal for property owners wishing to develop their land in a productive and sustainable manner, those interested in active involvement in school and community gardens, and anyone wanting a more sustainable lifestyle. This course is Nationally Accredited and thus recognised by all other Australian institutions and government agencies, including Centrelink.
This course will be held one day per week at PepperGreen Farm in Bendigo.
No knowledge of permaculture is assumed and classroom based sessions will cover all the topics of the traditional Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and more.
There will be a balance of classroom and hands-on activities throughout, including:\
- seed saving
- gardening with edible plants
- designing productive permaculture systems
- improving soils and preserving produce.
The cost for this course is $1500.
Option
There is also the option to undertake a Certificate III in Permaculture as a self-guided course of study. This format for Cert III is for people who have completed a PDC, or have other permaculture experience and training, and are able to complete project work and assessment tasks independently.
Students will meet monthly to share ideas and experiences, hand in assessment items, and discuss projects and assessment tasks face-to-face.
The cost for this course is $1500.
