Permaculture International Limited is a not for profit company limited by guarantee. It's governed by a voluntary board of directors who are democratically elected by our members. Additionally the Permafund (Permaculture International Public Fund) and Accredited Permaculture Training are each run by committees which report activities to the board as well as external agencies.

Our finances must comply with strict ATO and ASIC regulations for not for profit companies, and additional limitations exist for compliance to operate a tax deductible gift fund registered with Environment Australia.

The organisation is in a process of consultation and restructuring its membership and governance framework to provide more effective services to the permaculture community in Australia and beyond, under it's new trading name Permaculture Australia.
